This groovy ride goes by many names - officially, it's the Type 2, but you might hear it called Dakota or Kombi, or simply the Bus in the US, and the Camper across the pond in the UK. It made its debut in 1950 courtesy of the German automaker Volkswagen, marking their second model after the iconic Beetle (the Type 1).
